Steel Building Construction Project

Steel Building, Neville Island, PA

Challenge

For this construction project, the biggest hurdle was building the structure on weak soil, which is caused by water flowing under Neville Island. In addition, we had the challenge of providing the space of two buildings in one large structure to fit the storage needs of the client.

Solution

After much planning, we had an answer – build a stronger foundation by increasing the amount of steel rebar. This design was used so the foundation would be able to support itself, even if one of the piers were to break loose.
